Honeywell HomMed Announces Corporate Name Change to Honeywell Life Care Solutions to Reflect Broader Healthcare Commitment
LAS VEGAS — January 5, 2015 —Honeywell (NYSE: HON) HomMed – a global leader in health management technologies and remote patient monitoring – announced today that it is changing its corporate name to Honeywell Life Care Solutions. The name change reflects the company’s broader healthcare commitment and its expertise in driving the innovations needed to shape the future of health management through digital technology solutions.
“The new name – Honeywell Life Care Solutions – allows us to emphasize our wide-ranging business objective around changing the way healthcare is delivered between healthcare providers and patients, with the goal of increasing access, lowering costs and improving quality,” said John Bojanowski, President of Honeywell Life Care Solutions. “As a company with its roots in digital technology, we are committed to delivering breakthrough products and services that will help connect all the points in the care continuum.”
Honeywell Life Care Solutions includes the company’s telehealth products and services, which have provided patients and healthcare providers with industry-leading telehealth solutions for more than fifteen years, and include the company’s Genesis family of products and its LifeStream software. And announced this year in conjunction with the name change, the company is introducing Seymour, a digital health technology solution which provides a platform for the way patient data is aggregated, stored and shared between healthcare providers and patients, with the goal of helping people better understand and manage their data – and ultimately their health.
“We know nine out of ten consumers want to utilize technology to manage their health,” said Bojanowski. “To that end, we will continue to provide them with the tools they need to better navigate their own care programs within and outside the walls of the healthcare system.”
The new name is effective immediately, and will be implemented across the company’s product and services throughout the calendar year 2015.
